Hi Darling,
“You have a beautiful body”. That’s what my friend’s two-year-old granddaughter said to her. You might think this is a strange comment for a two-year-old, but stay with me. Her parents are starting early to set the intention to love herself, including the body she is in.
If you take this the right way, you can see the beauty in this statement. This little girl is growing up feeling good about herself. Now, most of us women have some little body part that we are not happy with, and we don’t always talk nicely to that part of ourselves. We push and poke and say, “I’m fat,” or “I hate my hips”. Now, is this loving?
Instead of beating up on our bodies …. emotionally, let’s realize that this body we are in is a necessary vehicle here on earth. Thinking of it that way, doesn’t it make sense to take care of it? When it comes to cars we might prefer a Mercedes to a Toyota. How about choosing a healthy and flexible body, as compared to one poisoned by cigarettes and alcohol?
Love yourself, be the best you. Start today and choose one beneficial thing you could do for yourself.
